The Question of Housing

There is now a commitment to a substantial growth in the numbers of new houses in Stafford Borough.

For details of this see: Stafford A growth point?

What sort of houses do we need?

Where should they be built?

How should we ensure that they are of good quality and affordable for the next generation of young families?

Do we need to look at the housing needs of a growing elderly population?

My other messages touched on this, but I think it is silly to be building on greenfield sites (Burleyfields for myself but I am sure there are others) when there are so many derelict / empty / run down buildings and plots of land elsewhere in the town.
